Allan Baillie received his BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA. in 1964 and an MFA from Maryland Institute. He studied at the Accademia di Bella Arti, Rome, Italy as well as with noted photographers Grace Hartigan and DIane Arbus. He has lectured at the Corcoran College of Art, Washington, DC, and the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, MD.

He has exhibited extensively and has work in various private collections.
