Pavel Ouporov is part of a collaborative artist team along with Suzanne Scherer who met while studying at the Surikov State Academy Art Institute in Moscow.
Ouporov earned an MFA from the Surikov State Academy Art Institute.
Scherer received a BFA from Florida State University, an MFA from Brooklyn College, and was the first American visual artist accepted into the Russian Academy of Arts.
Their collaborative works have been seen worldwide, including in exhibitions at: the Library of Congress, Smithsonian, MoCA, Vienna Museum, ICA Moscow, Passage de Retz, Boston Center for the Arts; Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Frye Art Museum.
Their works are in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Fogg Museum, the Library of Congress, New York Public Library, and The State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, and others.
