Gary Bolyer grew up in rural northwest Louisiana and is now an established New York City artist as well as a published author. His original oil paintings, prints, and drawings have been exhibited in many galleries and are in hundreds of public and private collections throughout the world.

He graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, earning a BFA in oil painting. He also studied landscape oil painting at The Art Students’ League of New York.

In 2004, Bolyer’s work was chosen by the US Dept. of State “Art in Embassies Program” for the ambassador’s residence in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Bolyer’s artistic impressionist style reflects his love of nature and his painting technique attempts to capture the natural beauty of his subject matter by utilizing broad, sweeping brushstrokes of color laid down in patches across the painting surface.
