The “Audubon Centennial Edition” was created in association with the National Audubon Society, with each high quality print bearing their official embossed logo.

In the 182 years since John James Audubon created the original set of “Birds of America” prints, the “Audubon Centennial Edition” was only the third collection of prints to be produced. However, it was the first print edition to meticulously restore the incredible detail and brilliant colors of the 1827 originals, including the exact paper size. Each “Audubon Centennial Edition” print contains a plate number in the upper right hand corner which corresponds to the exact numbering found in the original set of 1827 Audubon prints.

To achieve the stunning quality that stayed true to the originals, each original print was photographed using a high end custom large format digital camera and then printed using museum quality archival paper and inks. The original “Birds of America” prints used to recreate the “Audubon Centennial Edition” were from the collection of the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove, in Audubon, Pennsylvania.
