Marjorie Tomchuk was born in Canada but ended up moving to the United States in 1953. She earned a BA and MA from the University of Michigan and studied at Sophia University in Japan. 

She specializes in creating works of art on paper and works in different techniques such as woodblock printing, embossing, etching, as well as manufacturing her own paper from scratch. 

Tomchuck has also taught and worked in Japan, Germany, New York City, and Connecticut. She has extensively travelled all over the world, gathering inspirations and ideas that she channels into her artwork.

Tomchuck’s artwork is in many private and corporate collections. She has also exhibited in North America, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
