Michael Young was born in 1952, in Kansas City, Kansas. He studied at the Salina Area Technical College, the Art Student’s League, Salamagundi Club, and took private anatomy lessons with Bill Weltman.

Young is an experienced painter and muralist and has had many commissions. His work has been exhibited all over the United States and is in the collection of various museums and both private and corporate collections.
