Carl-W. Röhrig was born on November 12, 1953 in Munich Schwabing, Germany and currently resides in Switzerland. While he received his art education at the Academy for the Graphic Arts he is mostly a self taught artist. Aside from dedicating himself to creating fine art, he made a living doing scientific illustrations for countless worldwide publications as well as painting for various freelance projects. He is also known for illustrating a full deck of tarot cards.
From 1996 onward, he focused exclusively on painting and created a prodigious amount of work which ended up in art collections worldwide.
